Current research indicates that most anti-depressants and anti-anxiety (SSRI) medications blunt the effects of psychedelics.
Several of my clients have tapered from their anti-depressants and anxiety medications and now practice a regimen of micro-dosing psychedelics.

It takes TIME and INTIMATE self-discovery to face your depression and anxiety. Ideally you would work with another person to help you stay connected, engaged, and supported.
Please be aware that considering psychedelics for self discovery is a GIANT step toward unwrapping, facing, and integrating your emotions, beliefs, and learned responses.
Big steps are best taken with witness and advocacy. Transparency in itself is healing.
If you’re on ‘medications’ you are working with a medical professional. PLEASE inform your medical professional of your intentions to work with psychedelics.
Agreements create a container. A consensual container. Taking prescribed medications is an agreement. The privilege to serve Psychedelic Integration Therapy begins with agreements. I hold them as a sacred container for us to explore, express, evolve.
Words are spells.
I think Psychedelics are teaching me that they help us FACE, ENGAGE, and PARTICIPATE in our lives. They DO NOT make anything go away, fix, repair, or heal us. I really don’t think anything leaves the planet, and nothing really stops. I really don’t think we are broken, or that we need to be cracked wide open. That language is harsh. Maybe we get to pause, and reflect. Maybe in facing our lives with our hearts and minds, we get to engage and participate. And with our presence we tap into synchronicity, magic and the extra-ordinary. Psychedelics are a state of mind. Do you remember when you were a ‘kid’ spinning until you fell on the ground? That’s psychedelic. Do you remember laughing so hard you fell off your chair? That’s psychedelic. Rapid breathing creates an extra-ordinary shift in consciousness.
The following is an excerpt from my favorite article on depression and anxiety.
DO NOT discontinue or change your medication without medical advocacy. (yes that’s a double negative)
This is an excellent Harvard EDU article on considerations to safely discontinue your SSRI medications. (click HERE
